Deb is the founder and CEO of Eval.com, a national real property evaluation firm serving banks and financial institutions across the US.

She has spent her career at the intersection of real estate valuation and lending, bringing practical field experience and deep regulatory knowledge to every client engagement.

  • Certified General Appraiser (2013) — licensed to appraise all property
    types without restriction

Suzy Gardner

Suzy Gardner is a leading expert in real estate valuation, appraisal regulation, and financial institution oversight, with nearly 40 years of experience in banking and valuation. She previously served at the FDIC as a senior examination specialist and appraisal subject matter expert, focusing on supervisory risk management, appraisal
policy, and interagency guidance. Over the course of her career, she collaborated with financial institutions, regulators, and appraisal professionals to develop regulatory frameworks and industry guidance. Today, she provides advisory and compliance
consulting services and contributes extensive regulatory expertise to Eval’s advisory board.

Marty Skolnik

Marty Skolnik, MAI, is a veteran real estate valuation and consulting executive with more than 40 years of experience across appraisal, asset management, valuation review, and real estate advisory services. He previously served as Chief Appraiser for Freddie Mac Multifamily and currently serves on the DC Board of Real Estate Appraisers. Marty has extensive expertise in commercial real estate valuation, appraisal review, regulatory matters, and complex real estate analysis. In addition to his valuation leadership experience, he has advised appraisal firms and organizations on operational strategy, best practices, and valuation risk management throughout his career.

Don White

Don White is a senior financial services executive with more than three decades of experience in enterprise risk management, valuation governance, and mortgage operations. Most recently, he served as Senior Managing Director and Chief Risk Officer at Pennymac, where he led corporate risk strategy and integrated risk priorities into longterm business planning. His career includes leadership roles at both JP Morgan Chase and Pennymac, where he developed valuation frameworks and managed appraisal risk
for mortgage originations and servicing. Don’s expertise spans credit policy, regulatory compliance, cybersecurity, and valuation risk management

Simon Blackburn

Go-to-market strategy & ADVISORY

Simon Blackburn is a mortgage technology and analytics executive with extensive experience in go-to-market strategy, business development, and advisory leadership across the housing finance and valuation industries. He is the founder and CEO of MtgeFi, where he advises companies on mortgage data, appraisal modernization, and market growth strategy. Simon works with lenders, regulators, and valuation firms to help organizations adapt to evolving appraisal and housing finance trends. His expertise
includes alternative valuations, appraisal modernization initiatives, and strategic market positioning within the mortgage and real estate valuation sectors.

BOARD MEMBER

Rob is a seasoned operations executive in the fintech space. He led large teams at SoFi and SoFi Lending before serving as EVP of Operations at Figure. Earlier in his career, he was President and CEO of Premiere Credit of North America and President/COO of Sallie Mae’s Asset Performance Group. Today he also advises TruVest and has held board roles in several credit and recovery companies. Rob studied Speech Communication and Rhetoric at the University of Pittsburgh.

Peter Christensen

Peter has been our general counsel since 2020. He’s an attorney focused on valuation law, advising appraisers, firms, AMCs, investors, and technology companies on the legal and regulatory issues that shape the industry. He founded Christensen Law Group, has written widely on appraisal risk management—including a book on the subject—and also serves as General
Counsel & Chief Compliance Officer at BBG Real Estate Services. Peter is admitted to practice in California, Washington, and Montana. He earned both his B.S. and J.D. from UC Berkeley.

Peter Nicolaysen

BOARD MEMBER

Peter is a Wyoming business and real estate attorney with 25 years of experience advising individuals, companies, and public entities. He grew up on his family’s ranch in Natrona County, which he continues to help manage alongside his legal practice. His work has included real estate, development, and energy ventures. In 2022, he was appointed to the Natrona County Commission, where he brought his legal and agricultural background into public service.
